Oak reminds me of an ancient wizard, steadfast and wise - roots deep in Earth while branches weave vast, starlit symphonies. Oak has witnessed civilizations flourish and fade, guarded generations, and held the echoes of forgotten stories through the ever-turning wheel of time.
Beneath Oak’s steady, sheltering limbs - poets and bards have sung, children have played, wanderers have rested, and birds and honeybees have built their homes. The oak is resilience embodied, a keeper of ancient wisdom—an unwavering grandfather of the forest, standing steady through every season. Oak has weathered through tempests of transformation, witnessing both golden eras and the darkest of days.
Connecting with Oak is an invitation to ground yourself in the power of your roots—to find refuge within and reconnect with your purpose in this moment. Just as the destiny of an acorn is to grow into a mighty oak, so too does a seed of potential live within you. What is it that calls for your care, your patience, your devotion? What within you is ready to take root, to flourish, to stand tall?
Oak is beloved as a sacred tree in many mythologies and cultures around the world – the Celts believed the oak tree was the “King of Trees” and associated Oak with strength, wisdom, and intuition. Our class will explore ancient mythologies, rituals, and medicines connected with Oak Tree as well as its essence and herbal actions. We will then move into a guided breath meditation where you are invited to experience Oak Tree’s essence from within.
