DEPTH & EMERGENCE RETREAT
IN MT. SHASTA, CA

Friday, November 1st - Monday, November 4th, 2024

meals + lodging included

a retreat to explore:

How are you called to serve
in the midst of changing times?

The world is changing, posing questions vaster than
any faced in this lifetime.
Artificial Intelligence, Climate Change,
More War, Restricted Rights …
how may we contribute, collaborate, serve, emerge from here?

When passing through the eye of the needle,
stepping from the industrial world of ‘me’
into the ancient-yet-emergent world of ‘we’,
you are invited to deeply attune to the question:
How may I, how may we, serve here and now?

Your presence at this time is not a mistake.
You’re here because you’re needed.
You’ve been gathering experiences within this lifetime
and in every unfolding before…
and you were never meant to go it alone.

This retreat will assist you in deepening
attunement to your sincerest calling at this time.
It’s an invitation to shed what’s no longer required
and nourish your true nature in collaborative community.

THIS RETREAT IS AN INVITATION
TO ATTUNE TO THE DEPTHS
OF YOUR CALLING

Through nature oracles, guided breath meditations, dreamwork, fireside storytelling, and communing with the deeply enchanting beauty and presence woven within Mt. Shasta, every experience will encourage attuning with Earth, with your true nature, with the question how may I, how may we, serve at this time?

You'll be encouraged to turn down the noise of the outside world and go within, letting go of linear timelines, logistics, and regular responsibilities to rest into simplicity, reconnecting with your natural rhythms…from this space, it’s easier to attune, commune, and receive inner guidance.

You’ll take time to dream and engage in dreamwork practices, welcoming in the divine support and grace that is ever-present.

You’ll be invited to deeply attune with your inner world and Mother Earth, listening to receive what’s true - what’s present, what’s needed inside and out within a supportive, warm-hearted community.

Most of all, you’ll come home to your soul embodied and experience a nourishing, meaningful sense of reunion within - receiving clarity on how to move forward in your life in the midst of significant change.

Depth & Emergence Retreat Guide

Madeline Giles (she/her)

I am a somatic spiritual counselor, trauma resolution guide, dreamworker, herbalist, beekeeper, and the founder of Angelic Breath Healing. I hold a Master’s degree in Spiritual Psychology with an emphasis in Consciousness, Health and Healing from the University of Santa Monica, and I am a certified ReBloom Coach in trauma-informed care with Rachael Maddox. This past spring, I published my first booklet called Then I Woke Up: Dreaming with Mother Earth.

My offerings have been described as “magical and deeply practical” and “gentle without bypassing the harder parts of being human.” Grounded spirituality and reciprocity with nature guides and influences my offerings and personal practice.

I have offered and facilitated retreats in Mt. Shasta for the past eight years. After feeling a deep connection and love for this land, I followed an inner call and heartfelt dream to move to Mt. Shasta full-time in 2020, where I lived up until summer of 2023. The sacredness of this land, the depth and miracles that has unfolded both personally and with those I’ve had the sacred privilege of witnessing is unparalleled. I am both humbly honored and deeply looking forward to returning to the magic of Mt. Shasta and holding space for Depth & Emergence!

“I have worked with Madeline for several years now, in person, in group settings, individually, and online. Each time that I have joined one of her classes or sessions, something magical has transpired afterwards in my life as a result. Recently, I was called to participate in Mt. Shasta private retreat and I am so happy that I answered the call! I did not have any specific expectations for my time in Mt. Shasta, but I was absolutely amazed at what unfolded and transpired while there. Random life experiences and challenges from 5-7 years ago presented themselves, came full circle and seemed to receive both closure and blessings by nature. Not only is the landscape absolutely stunning, there is a very strong, magical force in Mt. Shasta and surrounding areas! Madeline facilitated various exercises and breathing in multiple nature scapes with utmost grace, caring, understanding, and spiritual connection. The result was unbelievably moving, healing, and inspiring! I ended my retreat feeling rejuvenated from the inside out, as though I had soaked up the energy and light of the mountain itself into my cells and being. I couldn’t have asked for a more moving and special experience.”

This retreat is not the best fit for:

  • While Guru Shasta is a cozy and luxurious accommodation - we are out in the woods and will be spending a significant amount of time outside as a group. If this is not doable for you, it’s not the best retreat fit.

  • Someone who is currently in need of a lot of 1:1 attention and sense what they’re needing now isn’t the best fit in a group.

  • This retreat is a wonderful fit for someone with an open heart and mind - it’s not a fit for someone who is judgmental, disrespectful, and not kindly mindful of others within the group dynamic.

RETREAT PRAISE

“I was looking for a personal guide who felt deeply connected to Mt. Shasta, who would be willing to hold space for me and allow my experience on the mountain to unfold intuitively, moment by moment. Madeline met me in this openness, which eventually led to her guiding me through a deeply beautiful process on the mountain, it was beyond what I ever could’ve hoped for and I’m still receiving the gifts.”

“Magical is the first word that comes to mind when I think about my private retreat experience in Mount Shasta. Madeline guided us through an amazing day of activities that honored where we were all at and offered so many spaces for healing, reflection, and joy. Working with Madeline on retreat over the past few years has completely transformed my relationship to my body, heart, and spirit in unimaginable ways. I am forever grateful for this experience and the magical time spent on the mountain.”

-Gretchen A.

“Madeline is a delightful, kind, intelligent soulful, intuitive human. The retreat Madeline presented for my sister and I was perfect for our needs. It contained curated AND spontaneous experiences for a completely unique retreat. Madeline guided us to very special areas of the mountain offering various experiences and time to just BE and journal, with a beautiful ceremony to end our time together. During our time with Madeline I felt safe and cared for. I am so grateful to Madeline for sharing her knowledge and love of this mountain with us.”
